SIGNS OF SPAWNING!!!

Just went to the river today and saw a bunch of gar spawning. really looking forward to seeing some fry and catching some!

thinking about selling some. long nose gar. maybe 20 bucks a piece. alligator gar. hmmm. 35 bucks. thats halfe the price of a normal sale..

Make sure you handle the taking and selling of live fish according to your local/state laws. I'd hate to see you get in trouble.

That said, I am on the hunt for a longnose gar, but not a small one. If anyone can help me out, PM me.

yes. im aware. and i could catch a longnose anywhere from 12 inches to a couple feet.

state law is limit 1 per person, no length limit for gator gar. You also need to check the local length and bag special limit!

yes, good advice. given what regulations are in many other states, i don't think you'll be getting away with selling off numerous LNG and ALG juveniles...i would collect them for yourself and leave the rest alone...particularly ALG juveniles--

most don't - talk to your local DNR office or USFWs...without the appropriate license most are not allowed to sell native fishes.--
