Just wanted to get a collective view from fellow MFKs on signs of stress through experience in your particular species or knowledge you have aquired siting location if possible. Ive done my own research but was hoping Ive missed something someone could enlighten me and the fellow members on. Thanks

I guess to be more precise I was curious IF A particular species did anything unusual when under stress, such as bowfin..pickeral anything of that type. Just curious, if a fish is a fish i guess thats all that can be said ha

I am still debating whether the catfish I have was under stress or in breeding colors. Someone else caught the fish, it had a red tail. It has since lost the red in the tail. However, it is still making a bed, and refusing to eat food. If worms,etc... get close to it's area, it quickly pushes the food to the other side of the tank. So it makes me think because the fish does this with it's food, it must be waiting for a mate. The guy that caught the fish said it was making a bed before he caught it.

Well Its possible if he was making a bed using his tail, then maybe he had some type of sub tissue brusing causing the coloration?
