silence over flow box?

Any ideas how to silence the water coming into corner overflow boxes?
in drops not to far but from the drop lots of noise and bubbles going into durso pipes intake.

I put a piece of sponge filter around the pipe that leads into the filter. It'll reduce the noise if you have not already done.

It is from the drop into the over flow box the bubbles come out not as much a problem as the niagra fall sound
Has anyone put something in there to divert the angle of the water

I took the removable face off of the corner overflow for a test seems to increase flow and alot less noisy? I thought I saw someone cut theirs open and put mesh or something anyone recall this?
