Silica Sand?

How do you clean Silica Sand that's in there tank?
ans also is this Silica Sand OK to use?

don't think i'd use it but you'd clean silica sand like any other sand

From what I read on here people seem to think its the best kind to use, its the pool filter sand kind right?

Thats not pool filter sand, although I think PFS is also silica. I would just use PFS to be safe.

the "Use only as fireplace floor decoration" doesn't sound too reassuring

i bought some other silica sand from home depot, works good, very smooth, but i think it is too fine. it gets sifted easily and i tend to siphon a good handful during water changes
