Silicon or Great Stuff Pond for 3D background???

Yes, you'll want to use just a few dabs of silicone, and not a whole lot. It will hold the background on and allow you to remove it with relative ease should you decide to change it.

Gotcha. So I won't have to return it for the GE I Window and Door being that it's 100% silicone? I don't plan on moving this thing and I don't want to have to worry about any waste getting stuck in between the glass and Background edges...
 
No, I'm not implying their strength at all. I don't believe either of those are an adhesive product more so than the inherent properties of silicone. But globbing it on the back would make it pretty difficult to remove, probably more than needed. I was saying that a couple of spots will hold it perfectly fine without the need to use the whole tube.

Well I went and Exchanged it for some of this anyhow.

GE I, 100% Silicone for Windows And Door Just to be safe.

Looks like the same exact stuff and even shows the same label. BUT, if by some chance that all Kitchen/ Bath is supposed to be M/M resistent, then I would rather have the piece of mind....
