Silicon suggestions

For those of you who've built successful DYI plywood aquariums, what type of silicon did you use to install your glass,? Marine grade? Bath & tile? What's safe to use? I install my glass next week Sunday, so I have a week to figure this out.

Ge silicone 1 window and door is what I used. I believe silicone 2 isn't fish safe be audit has some anti mildew protection

Is it really soft when it cures? Does it get firm like ones used to make glass aquariums?
