Hi everyone I built some "caves" out of slate yesterday and used the silicone you get at petsmart to glue everything together. It's been over 24 hours since I finished gluing the last pieces and they're solid. How long do I need to wait before I can put it in my tank? And should I wash the slate off before I put it in there?

I would have washed and dried the slate before siliconing the pieces together and at this point the silicone should be cured and strong enough to be placed into the tank.

Almost all aquarium safe silicone would be cured in 24-48 hours. You should be fine especially if it is just being used to hold rocks together
