What silicone is safe for aquarium use other than the overpriced little tubes you buy at the pet store. I made some decorations out of PVC pipe and used clear all-purpose silicone sealant.

Ingredients: Silanetriol ethyl-triacetate, silanetriol methyl-triacetate, distillates, petroleum, hydrotreated naphtha, siloxanes....blah blah....no arsenic though.....

I haven't put this stuff in the tank yet, but now I'm second guessing myself.

Use GE Silicone I. You can get it at the hardware store.
Not II, it has an antibacterial ingredient in it.

Lol I already did the project though and am wondering if I should just nix what I made and start over.......is what I used safe?

Take a pic of it and post it up. Not sure what you used..
And if you cant take a pic, google it and post up the pic from the net, or a link.
Then we can help a bit more.

Blah, it's the wal-mart brand but says it's manufactured by Macco Adhesives, which makes Liquid Nails.....big help there huh. I just spent an hour doing research on what ingredients are HARMFUL to fish and came up with nothing......I just want to know what ingredients are dangerous to my fish and if they are in the silicone I used...
