Anyone have any info on silicone used to seal glass aquariums. MY local fish store only has small tubes of All Glass brand but it would take too many to seal my 270 gallon. I have sealed it twice already with GE 100% Silicone I only to have it leak a few months later. Anyone have experience with resealing tanks. I have resealed smaller tanks 10-55 gallons with no problem. Obviously a 270 has greater pressure.

explanation seemed kind of vauge

i did not take the glass apart in the tank, rather i just took a razor to the silicone in the tank as it was not looking so new anymore.
looks much better now :)

My suggestion if it keeps leaking is you are going to have to take the main pane of glass out where it was leaking and reseal it between the panes. Then reseal inside. If you are resealing inside the substrate or anything else could be loosing the silicone enough to penetrate through the silicone seal. I know it sucks, but good luck!

i used the all glass brand and my 125 is holding so far havent got it all setup yet but the stuff seems good and strong plus it cand be bad to use stuff made by a company that makes tanks
