silicone sealant

i had bought a tube a while ago to seal up a leaky aquarium, and i had just read it today and it said it should not be used on aquariums, what kind of sealant can i use, brands, where to get , etc

The GE type 1 that I use on everything says "not for aquariums", but it has never given me (or anyone that I know) a problem. What type did you get? Does it have mildew resistance?

Type 2 is a no go IME.....
Go with type 1 without mildew resistance.
