I just finished removing all the silicone on a 55 i got at a garage sale.
What brand of silicone do you recomend and how much do i need?

GE silicone 1 window and door (might say basement and attic too)

1 tube (10 oz) will be enough.

is there any specific order to follow when siliconing it

I tape up the corners to keep sharp edges just like factory.
Once I have all four taped up I wipe all corners down with acetone.
I do all four corners first then the bottom. Run a bead down a corner, wipe it smooth then pull the tape off, repeat. After they are done run a bead around the bottom and wipe smooth.
If you run out in the middle of the job you have to let it all cure and cut it back out.
At only 4 bucks a tube it wouldn't hurt to have another on hand.
