I am resealing a 300 gal I need black silicone and can only find GE II and not GE I but just read somewere that GE I is now the same as II they both have mildewcide. Do you really think this is not tank safe even if I flushed the tank then refilled I can't imagine once silicone is cured that the mildewcied can continue to leach out? Does anyone know were to get tank safe black silicone.
 
thx can't find blk all these store around here just carry clear if any at all.
 
Use Momentive RTV, it is a whole lot better than GE in every way. You will have to order it from Grainger or McMaster-Carr, but it's worth it.
 
I was trying to find some for my 72g a while ago. I could only find it online would have cost me over $30 plus a few weeks shipping, so I ended up using clear.

I can try to find you a link, if I remember correctly it was the DAP brand
