i'm getting a 200g acrylic tank and want a over flow but don't wan't to deal with weld on can i sillicone the acrylic in it's not for strength just water proofing if not would great stuff foam or gorila glue work

A friend of mine made several acrylic tanks for a local school. They are only 4" high and about 18"x36". They've been holding water for years without a leak. He used a product called High Strength Plastic Welder from Devcon. I just picked some up to make a drip tray for a sump. $3.89
