Thanks the oscar is in a 120 gallon by himself. I was thinking about a polleni, red mammon, rose queen, green terror or something along those lines but i know all those fish i mentioned are way more aggressive than an oscar. By the way the oscar is around 6".asRocksor answered on a different forum

What would you put as far as tankmates?

How many fish you could keep depends on species and size, you could probably do 1 oscar, 1 goldspotted pikehead, 1 redear sunfish and 1 eclipse catfish.Jack dempsey and bichir is something i can picture. I like that.
Now is how many more fish i can stock in a 120 gallon and if i want to overstock the tank( i know is not recommended) not by much what type of filtration would you use. thanks.

As far as filtration get a pond pump, run it thru a container 50 gal with lava rocks and plant filtration
