Was in st Albans Maidenhead aquatics today .
They have a Red arowana in one of the tanks . It's about 10 inches.

It's fins are frayed and torn very badly
part of it's gill is missing so you can actually see into the fish through the missing part of gill . Looks like it's been chopped out .
And it's bottom jaw/lip sits about 5 mm higher than it's top lip .

Asking price £1600 .
Am I missing something ?
That's a lot of money for a fish with bits missing lol

has any other uk,ers seen this fish ?

Sorry Jase, I've not seen it but I did see a stunning red Asian in BAS about a year ago, chipped and cert for £2500. If your going to pay that sort of money then you at least want it in good condition before it leaves the store?

It really looked like it was in a road traffic accident or something .
I will try and get a picture if I am over that way again .

I was not thinking of buying it . Like you say , for that money you would want to pay the extra for one in top condition that will survive a trip home .
