Well since my wels is growing like a weed it is time for a upgrade right now she is in a 360g and 27" tank is 6x4x2 which is alright for now but at some point she will out grow that so I decided to build a 8x8x36 just over 1,400g Plywood pond the build is coming together nicely but im not doing a window this time around im just using a double pond liner. So she can good for the next 5 years or so until i will need to go bigger. The things we do for our animals lol.

Nice. What was the reason for not going with an inflatable or a similar above-ground off-the-shelf pond/pool?

I wanna build something keeps myself busy I could do a pool or blow up pool but i feel i could do more with a plywood pond.

Tank isnall put together all i have now is to water proof the wood and add foam board Insulation and the liner and im all set should be up in going in the next few months doing a little each week. Decided to do a 2x4 inside instead on plywood much cheaper and more solid it dont move.

Worth looking at box welded liners, you gust give the dimensions and it will slot in like a cardboard box. I used one on my pond.
