Medway Me.
I've got a friend getting rid of his black ghost knife and i want it. I only have one freshwater tank running and that has my aro in it. It is a 270 gal. tank with my aro, some neon tetras (If I loose them its not a big deal) a pleco and a cory cat. (my sds slowly bacame aro food) Will the aro and the bgk fight? The aro has already eaten some fish so I'm nervous. But the bgk is 7in. and the aro is 7-8 in. I have had bgk before and he was'nt agressive but what do you guys think?

Forgot to mention I use blackwater additive. That should be fine where the bgk if from there too, right?

I've not had a great deal of experience with knife fish, but in my experience silver aros tend to be very passive fish. So as long as the bgk isn't aggressive I wouldn't of thought there would be a problem, just keep an eye on them.

I think it will be ok also because the knife is bottom and active at night, the aro is stritctly top and active during the day. They probably wont even meet. Just wanted some seccond opinions thanks

urrr dude i used to keep a BGK with my arowana....one day the bgk went missing. next thing i found the BACKBONE of the bgk in the filter with bits of its blackfin still attached...made me feel sick. so BEWARE....then again the bgk was ALOT smaller than the arow. if its big then shud be fine...provide hiding places for it aights

urrrr dude my BGK had plenty of hiding places including a cave where the arowana couldnt fit into. the problem comes at night when the BGK comes out to eat. thats probably when they will PERISHHHH dont do it...seriously

Make sure the BGK is about the same size as the ARO.
My silver ate my BGK whole after being in the tank with him for several months.
