Silver and Black Common Plec?

Anyone ever see a common Plec that has a silver base color? I picked one up last night that had coloring like I have never seen on a common. It has a silver base color that is slightly reflective. Hopefully that isn't a weird sign it is unhealthy?? Ha that would be my luck, needless to say it was in a goldfish tank I wonder if perhaps that has anything to do with the diet it has been on or water temperature? (Maybe goldfish food and slimecoat?!) The other Plecs in the goldfish tanks had regular coloration.

Curious if anyone has experienced this before?

Pics would help but it sounds like it's just a lighter colored pleco. Was the gravel in the tank a light color?

looks to have a different base colour to me, maybe its some type of morph.
