Just got a nice bichir today but its fairly small and was advised putting it in with my silver..the silver is about 10" roughly and the bichir is about 4"..at present I have it in a seperate 2ft tank with a couple of cichlids but would really like to put it in with the aro,do you think the silver will eat it?..the silver has a 2" long fin barb that was used as a dither fish for the jags that used to be in the tank and he totally ignores that,I know it may disappear one day but he shows no aggression towards it,,so what are the bichirs chances or shall i grow it on for a while in the smaller tank?

Thanks for the reply mate..I would love to put the bichir in with the aro as the aro seems very placid to say the least!..Its all well and good growing the bichir on but the aro will be growing too so its not like the bichir will ever catch up..Just not sure what to do..
