I have been seeing some videos with silvers and jars. together are people raising them together for them to get a long with each another? I have noticed that in the videos the silvers run the upper level of the tank and the jars seem to stay more mid range of the tank

that would be really cool if it could work.
i have three silvers together now and that was a challenge . it required a second tank lol .
that i did have to use a few times for separating . i very well could have ended up with one or more dead fish along the way if i didnt have it . but they have been pretty good for a while now , gotten used to each other i guess .

but ya a silver and a jar that would be really awesome . i have owned two jars in the past not together mind you but i really love jars as well .
from what i remember of my two from years ago is that they are a lot more maneuverable in the water and much more aggressive . so you would really have to be careful .
maybe it could work if you were prepared to do a lot of work and have a second tank . but even then i dont know lol

Massive gamble mostly resulting in death in my opinion , its pretty rare to find a jar that excepts any kind of tankmates let alone one that occupies the same swimming space , I too see videos of other peoples setups with multiple jars/silvers together and wonder how long the peace lasts for ? If they have other tanks to house them if they need to be split ? etc , i guess its trail and error in most cases but as the years of my keeping jars roll on the more doubts i get about the idea ;):D
