Silver Aro and Flagtail, good combo?

I've got a 12-13" silver. he is in with my rays. I want to get a flagtail about 5-6" or so. will the aro go for a flagtail? thanks for your input.

should be fine. I've always kept flagtails with my arowanas. It's a nice colour contrast.

I think flagtails have a fetish for the slimcoat on rays so you might want to keep an eye out.

The aro will put on size a lot quicker than the flagtail, watch closely and keep the aro well fed...

well fed for the aro is not a problem. he eats freeze dried krill, cichlid gold pellets and he eats the market prawns, tilapia, etc. I throw in for the rays. pretty much anything I throw in he eats.

I would worry about the rays than the aro. Some people, myself included, had problems with the flagtail sucking on the rays...
