My new tank is almost here. (Had my 8ft acr. but a seam and lost my 16" Silver Aro. The Armatus and Aro seemed to get along just fine when they were housed together. Every now and then the Aro would try and give the Arm a little nip, and quite often the Armatus would chrge and snap at the Aro but never made contact.
So it is time once again. A little nervous because the Armatus are a foot at this time so I need to find a decent size Aro and power feed the hell out of him to catch him up. I am hoping the same tolerance will be present with these guys. I am actually going to try and house 2 Armatus in there.
I was thinking of many other fish that I could add. Was thinking about some balas or tinfoils but then I thought what the heck. What about starting out with a shoal of like 50 Neons?? I would assume the Aro might try "gulping" a few in the middle of their shoal but once they get thinned out a bit I would think evrything shoudl be cool. 96X30X39 will be the tank in no more than a week from what they are telling me.
I always like to check in with the Aro group before I did anything with "Aro" my old Silver (RIP) and/or get ready to do anything with a new aro. I know what kind of a devoted group you guys have going on over here with these guys.
ANy comments, concerns, thumbs up or down will be appreciated. I just really miss my Aro.. They truely are a very unique fish inwhich it felt like I had a bond with
