My little silver(9-11") "Beeker" has developed an odd color scale. I haven't kept aro's that long .. So i'm wondering if this may be an issue:confused:. He seems to be healthy--he eats well. No fighting in the tank. Has anyone seen this before? Is it something to worry about?

Here are the pics(he doesn't sit still--LOL!!!):

Thanks for the help,
Chris

The scale is there just turned a blue-ish black color(I thought that it was missing too).. The patch of three redish colored scales are from him trying to jump out when I was doing a water change a few days ago(he hit the top). The dark scale didn't show up until last night. He's in with a larger aro-2 tin foil barbs, blood parot and a few eels. There has been no aggression with tank mates.

Thank you,
Chris

looks like he is re growing a scale. no worries. the dark color will disapear.

That's an impact injury. He'll grow it back in a week or two.
