So my silver aro currentyl eats aro sticks, and freeze dried krill and frozen bloodworms, but i ran outta sticks and bought this weird food called Sera granuar. it is made in germany and apparenty made for large cichlids, giant gourami, and arowana. Anyone ever heard of this??? Is it any good??

Contents are: fish meal, wheat flour, torula dried yeast, spirulina algae, sea algae meal, spinach, lucerne (alfalfa), stinging nettle, vegetable oils, vitamins, colorant (Ponceau)
it has a min protein of 40.2% fat at 4.8 fiber at 2.1 and max moisture of 6 and crude ash of 8.9

Kill the aro and get it mounted, then you won't have to feed it anything or waste electricity running the tank. Cheaper again!

If the aro is eating the pellets then keep him on it. A staple diet or pellets and shrimp will be a whole lot better than just shrimp alone.
Really, who keeps fish to save money? :screwy:

he should vary his diet

yes vary his diet... mine gets new food every half month or moth depending on how fast i feed him.... right now he was on cicild pellets sticks shrimp smelt. now im out of sticks and the pellets went bad. so im feeding eel and cut fish along with shrimp... i just stop around the chinneses markets and anything that looks apealing he gets.... n hasnt cared one bit. :)

i feed mines mealworm, earth, superworm,MP,crickets, pellets, krills etc lol

well shrimp really isnt' all that cheap here and no chinese markets either (unless i take a 45 min ferry ride, and 30 min bus to vancouver) and i do vary the diet, it gets freeze dried krill and bloodworms, frozen bloodworms, crickets, arosticks, and chiclid pellets

how do you know when the pellets go bad
