silver aro gill curl?

hi

i noticed my 8" silver acting weird, staying at the back of the tank swimming in the current but not moving. ammonia,Nitrite and ph levels are fine

i noticed his gills are rounded and curled inwards and from what i read gill curl should curl outwards

i'm not sure what to do, he stopped eating now and i dont know if he has gill curl or not

that is definitely gill curl. did u change ur water recently? if so how much? and how many gallons is ur tank?

the tank is 6x3x2 so about 270g. i did a 20% water change about 2 weeks ago and did a 10% water change today

how bad is his gill curl? do i need to operate?

i got my gf with a steady hand to do the operation as i couldnt sit here worrying about him

he is swimming about and seems fine, will update with pictures tomorrow as the tank light is off now

if this is indeed gill curl, its a minor case.

gill curl is always caused by poor water quality

so up on those water changes.
