I just got back from a LFS that has a Silver Aro for 100 bucks, its really close to 2 feet long, if not more. Is that a pretty good deal? it looks pretty healthy with only slight drop eye. I currently have 1 silver aro that is about 11 inches. Would it be ok to put them together, and if so would a 7.5x3x3ft tank house both of them for life? thanks in advance everyone!

I dont know if Id chance the smaller one with one almost twice its size. But it seems like a good deal, I saw a 7" Silver Aro at a LFS near me for 30.00.

try it big silver arowanas aren't that agressive. I started with mines which was 23 inches and I put him with my 6 inch green and a 13 inch silver with no problems.

oh and that tank size is perfect for it mines are housed in a 180 and they are lovin it. and 100 is a good deal but I got mines for 80 bucks and if had one drop eye.

It's an alright deal, a lot better than what I usually see. that tank won't hold either of them for life as in captivity they typically get to around 3' if not a bit over and you'll want the tank to be at least a couple of inches longer than the aro itself.

Hard to find them that size without dropeye. If it has intact fins and barbels I'd say it's a good deal. I wouldn't personally buy one that didn't have perfect fins and barbels. Too many that have been housed in small tanks or with agressive tankmates have no barbels and/or permanent fin damage.

get it!
you won't regret it!
