Sticks off his body pretty far and covers entire eye. Definitely can't see out of it either!! Any medicine or recommendations? Any1 else experience this!?

What are your water chems? is there anything it could have scratched it on in the tank?-Anne

water chems? He could have hit the drift wood, heater or something but it looks more infected than scratched!? The film actually protrudes from the head! Will take pics later and post them!

Water chemistry includes but is not limited to
pH
ammonia
nitrIte
nitrAte

i DO TEST NOR NITRITE, AMMONIA, AND PH AND EVERYTHING IS PERFECT FOR AWHILE NOW BUT.......?

Does it look like fungus? It is possible he has scratched his eye somehow and the fungus is growing from that. Try using melafix, that has good antifungal properties and is OK for most fish

There are also bacteria that can do that but eye have never seen it without the water having either ammonia or chlorine problems, I have seen it after a friend did a 50% water change and forgot to dechlor. a couple hours later he saw the fish acting up and realized what he had done and dechlored it then, a few days later a couple of the fish had a milky layer over their eyes. I don't remember what he used to clear it up.

When I saw that on a fish, it was due to high ammonia. Frequent water change cleared it up. It does not clear overnight, so be patient.

Sounds like pop-eye, is it almost as if it's a blister over the eye? If so, get some melafix and treat for a week or two.
