must be my luck with silvers but i had 3 different silvers at 3 different times and all 3 have now died in my 29gal... the first 2 were maybe 2 inches and the latest one was around 4 inches that i just bought this past weekend. I'm new at keeping these fish and i know silvers espically are not as hardy as the other aros but i have a 2.5 inch jardini in another tank and he has been doing fine for the past month now. the first 2 were i think stressed out the most compared to the 4 incher but the big guy died earlier tonight. he was swimming fine and eating fine this morning when i left my house. i mainly fed him hikari food sticks and bloodworms as treats. the water params were i think ok.. no ammonia or nitrite present. nitrate was low but present. the water was hard and more alkaline.. i put some stress coat in when i first put him in the tank but none since then... i had an algae eater and a small pleco that i bought the same day as the aro in this tank. any ideas?

A bigger tank is needed for 3. I wouldn't recommend using stress coat. Try to get prime and stability by seachem it lasts you 5 times as long and is so much better than stress coat . That the only two chemicals I use in all my tanks

alright I'll give seachem a try next time.. and also I bought each aro individually and had them at different times each one after another.. I have a 75gal waiting for them but I was quarintining before putting them in the bigger tank

When I got my arrow he was only 4 inches at the most I put him in a 75 gallon all by himself it wasn't a problem for me
