silver aro injured

i have a silver aro that got into fight with my oscar. my silver is 18 inches and my oscar is 12 inches. My aro lost eight scales behind his gills. I am treating it with salt at 1tbls per 5 gallon and plus melafix 5ml per 10 gallon. I give the melafix every day but how about salt can I give it every day too. need your help.

i give salt to my ill or injured fish every other day, but i also change water every three or four days...hope this helps

don't give salt everyday, just after water changes

Remember that salt stays in the water. So when you change water, calculate the amount of salt needed based on the changed water and not the whole tank again.

lol, that is something that would have completely forgot about-taking the water and replacing it every day

melafix has been best for me, but remove the carbon from your filters or it deactivates it.
