Hey everyone I recently got another silver aro currently about 4 in. in a 125. I am wanting to get prepared early for his growth rate and over all size. I have no idea where to get a 300 gallon tank and have not been able to find a used one anywhere. I have around 5 grand for tank and filters if that much is needed.

If you got 5 grand to spend, you shouldn't have trouble finding a tank. Check out glasscages.com minimum sized tank you should order would be 96" long by 30" wide by 24" tall. If you can go bigger then do so, your arowana will thank you later down the road.

Then a 96 x 36 x 24 which is a 375 gallon will be big enough for one to live in for life? I can get that one for about 2400 which isn't to bad. Do you guys recommend acrylic or glass?

Aquarium size is a matter of opinion. Ive raised an aro from 6"-30+" and I can attest to their fast growth rate and need for space. Aros like may fish are jumpy when not comfortable. Go big.
