i am gunna build a tank with the glass from my 540, the reason being is it is just too hard to seal that tank, so i will build 2 plywood tanks (assuming i can get the glass cut to the dimensions i need)

What size tank should i build to house my aro??? I am thinking 8 feet long, 3 or 4 feet wide, and no more then 2 1/2 feet tall (so i can get it on its side thru a doorway)

8 foot long and 3 foot wide is perfect

8' long is fine, but if you can afford to go 4' wide, then why not?

Bigger is always better:)

yeah but 3 feet would be more managable if i ever had to move it thats why i was wondering if it would work, allthough 4 feet i could just use a full sheet of plywood for the bottom

Ya, good planning is always a must. I have a 8x3x2.5 on order. It will fit through all doors it needs to but because of the layout of the entry to the room it goes in, I will be removing a window to get it into that room:eek:

LOL I dont think there is a limit to what we will do for our hobby.

To the OP I have to agree 8x4 is much better than 8x3 :D

well we will see what i can do it would be alright if i only make it 2 feet tall so then i can manuever it around a bit better thru doorways and around corners and stuff
