hello people i want to put in my new setup with my arowana this species , 3 heros severus , 20 tiger barbs , 2 jack dempseys , and 2 black ghost knifes what is the opinions thanks

how big is the tank(dimensions)? and how big are the fish. With the right size tank and equally sized fish, it possible. what type of arowana do you have? Blacks are less aggressive and silvers are about the same. Every fish has its own temperament so you will have to see.

Your arowana will be well fed...for a little while

i have a 72"x24"x24" with 1-silver aro, 1-ropefish, 8- redtail tinfoils, 3-bala sharks, 2-bgks, 1-goldnugget pleco, and soon a florida gar.... the aro dosen't pay attention to the other fish only when i put the balas in it tried to eat one but spit it out and never did that again. i say do it if the tank can support the fish population.

tiger barbs may be eaten. rest all may have a fighting chance in a tank that size. as said above, size of fish and individual temperament of your arowana will be important factors. good luck. do share pics of your tank and setup later.

I hear barbs pick at arowanas fins, thats why i diddnt get any. They say that ghost knife fish are really hard to feed because there blind, once agein, thats why i diddnt get one. I have a 125 gal with an foot long ID, 9 IN silver arowana, 5 2 IN clown loaches, 7 3 IN juruparis, 3 in royal pleco, about 13 1 In giant danios, 7 2 IN gold sevrums, 4 IN red tailed shovelnose cat, and last but not least 2 6 IN ceja sting rays, and everything is going good.:D
