Who has successfully kept to silvers together? Ive recently purchased 2 and one seems to be picking on the other. Ive had them for about 2 1/2 weeks and felt necessary to separate them. One has absorbed his sack while the other hasnt, which is another reason for separating them for feeding. Im thinking of putting them back together when the other has absorbed his sack. Anyone have luck raising 2 together at this stage?

It is very uncommon for two aros to live together. You are better off trying it with at least 4 aros. I have a community of 4 silvers, and have had no aggression problems.

Thinking long term, dont think I can house 4.

Arowana are rather picky on each one another in the same tank. if you got maybe 5 and above in there, the chances of these fights will much much more lessen.:)

It's a hit or miss.

I have kept 2 silvers together many times. Most of times they fought until one had to be removed. When they fight it looks very stressful, as the victim usually acts passively and takes all the hits.

I have kept 3 10" silvers in my 1000G, oh Boy, they fought for two weeks. At last the smallest one won, and he then started his execution of the other two, one was badly damage and was bleeding. Even my cichlids never fought like this in this tank. I moved the two to a 180G, and they coexist very well.

I can never understand the aggression among silvers.
