i know putting 2 arowanas is not a good idea.
and i know putting two 2 feet+ silver arowanas is not a good idea.
but imma try anyways. has anyone succesfully done this?
im goin to pick up another one today
and put it in my tank with my old one.
think its possible?
well if anyone is succesful tell me how easy it was.
cuz i want another one!
and i guess well find out if theyll work

If you're lucky enough to pair a male and female, you should be OK. I kept a pair peacefully in a 450 and had 2 successful spawns from them. Kingdiscus, in Seattle, has a pair in a 300 store-counter tank and he gets fry on an annual basis from this high-traffic area tank.

i keep 2 arowana's in my 240. 24" & 18" and they don't fight. but it could've been because i grew them up in the same tank when they where 3-4" inches.

I had no problems with 2 aros in my 600. The same two aros would beat the $hit out of eachother in a 150g.
If your tank is big enough you shouldn't have a problem.

jardinis will fight, silver aros are more docile... for the most part

I have 2x 8-10" silver arowanas in my 120gallon they will fight every now and then. I dont think arowanas can pair up untill they are much bigger.

good luck bro! i hope u get a male n a female. byw, theres a big chance that it will work out coz silvers are pretty tamed compared to jardinis... btw, how big is this tank ull gonna put them into? any tankmates?

its a 180 and i know the space isnt adequate but hey. im tryin the best to get something better.
and ya i just picke dup the other arow today and they are doing fine :)

Hmmm to be honest, i personally would not recommend it for your situation.

Two arowanas would normally get along okay, providing you do not mind the odd bit of mild confrontation.

However 180 gallons is extremely tight for two already big’ens
But it hardly matters now seeing you already have them. I am sure they will get along okay, i just recon the space is a bit of an issue. Anyone agree?

Good luck with that. We keep two Blacks together. Coolness. Send us a pic
