What do you guys think about starting a small school of Silver Arowanas (4-6) and 2-3 Clown Knifefish in a 125gal. Do you think it would give them enough space until an upgrade in about a year or two (500+ gal.)?

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAA!!

not only is that beyond over crowded!!! but all of those fish will be well beyond the 1ft mark in less than a year!!

and you need a way bigger tank than that

like a 10'x 4x 3' at least for all those fish at an adult size

Yeah that would be way to overcrowded.

Aros and Clown Knife's is a very popular combo. But you would potentially have 6-9 3ft or longer fish. What are the dimensions of the 500+ gallon in mind?

moved to the aro forum.
a tank that size is too small for that many fish for a year or 2 even if there going into a 500gal later

Very true... a 125 would be big enough to keep maybe one aro and one or two clown knifes for a max of 2 years and that is really pushing it. I would say hold off, get the tank then the fish afterwards. I don't know if you have thought this through, but if you have ever seen a fish store try to catch, and move an aro that is larger than 1 foot, it never ends pretty. that will require a BIG net, a big bucket, and a lot of patience, and work. It will be much easier and healthier for them if you buy the bigger tank first.

Too small mate.

You will have to reconsider...

yeah dude...
build a 1000 gal indoor pond if u want all those fish togather...:)

too small
