I have a silver arowan that I purchased from craiglist that is 3+ years old and about 28inches. He/she is in my pond
3,500 gallons
I purschaed another one which is 22inches long Idk the age. When I placed him in my pond the big one came to it then started going to his sides, like showing how big he is or just showing off. Then it swim off then came back to it. After 30mins it started to charge at the smaller ones tail and bite it. Idk if that's a sign of dominance or if there both males or females. Also if the were both different genders would they get along right away? The smaller one(22in) I took back inside the house in the tank and He/she is fine
I want to put it in the pond but I'm sacred of bad news so I'm waiting for it to get bigger to replace it in The pond. 20150706_205807.jpg 20150429_103730.jpg 20150706_205807.jpg 20150706_205807.jpg 20150429_103730.jpg

you just put the fish in it was more likely showing the new fish who the boss is and making sure it knows it.
making sure it knows its place and pecking order. dominant alpha & etc etc.
