i just noticed like 2 min ago that my silver arowana has a cloudy eye and white slime on its head and he isnt eating im gonna take some pics on my phone and maybe a video if i can i have been having an ammonia problem in my tank for about a month now keeps spiking for no apparent reason been using ammo lock which seems to work when it strikes.

i am unable to take pictures as they are too blurry and have no other way but camra phone to take the pics some of the slime and fallen off but its got what looks like pockets on its head kinda like bubble wrap except they are flat

When a fish eyes start to cloud, it is usually because of ammonia burn. Quickly lower your ammonia by doing some water changes. Fish can recover well if the problem is taken care of fast. The doctor.

You need to fix your ammonia problems or your arow isn't going to last long.
Was the tank already cycled?

The cloudyness could be because of a bacterial infection brought on by stress, or it could just be the ammonia causes excess slime coat and eye problems.

Either way, you need to take care of it immediately. Check your nitrites also.

sounds like a case of cloud eye, bacterial inffection a couple of water changes should do the trick, if that don't work med time, if you get on top of it soon, easy too fix don't stress out

hello,
i also have an arowana with this issue. it gets the whote stuff on its body than maybe like 2h after a water vhange, it gets back to normal. i built a 2000L indoor pond for it and i just wanted to confirm with you guys whether this will fix the issue. The pond has a boyu efu 15000 A (not the best out there but ill add more filtration if needed) coupled with 10k l/h pump. the pond will be stocked with the aro, a tinfoil barb maybe 1 oscar and 2-3 severums. Will the aro be alright?
