Silver Arowana coloring

So I got these two guys the other day. The guy told me they were silvers, but what is with the coloring? They are around the 8-10" mark, (hard to get a real specific idea)

The tails of the arowana is really red. Like fully streaked with red, and the scales have a green shimmer to them. Will this go away? I want them to be more silver-ish in color and not colored like this...

I can see the "green" on the belly of the Lima, and the body of your gar too.
