silver arowana colour change

i just noticed when i put my 16 inch silver arowana into the pond it turned from silver to dark greenish it is really ugly now looks like some snake creature is this normal for arowana in outside ponds i do not have a picture of him in the pond because its hard to take a pic of him but here he is when he was in the tank

If your pond has a lot of algae in it or is just green in general it may be a natural defense trying to blend in with the surroundings. Just like when silver's are exposed to white tanks for white tank treatment.... Maybe it's just the opposite. That's my guess anyways.

Its just the top view of the fish. I assure you hes still the same color as when you had him in the tank lol

i caught him and checked his colour but it is definetly not the same colour it is dark but that is fine with me if its normal with arowana

Yup as long as the fish is healthy and your happy that's all that matters.
