just a quick video of my siver aro feeding on silver side fish along w/ some of his tank mates. i'm glad he eats the ss & hikari jumbo carni sticks because i've heard some aros are really picky eaters & don't anything that's already dead. sure beats getting live goldfish feeders that could spread diseases. enjoi!

thanks! he has DE on his right eye & i don't think it's treatable. i have a lot of tankmates & i guess he likes to keep an eye on them. video isn't that great & it's kind of hard to feed & shot the video at the same time. he can eat about 4-5 of them. i only feed silvers in the evening meal & hikari sticks in the morning.

i had more angels & he ate few but hasn't eaten any of the other fish in awhile. i even had a feeder goldfish in there awhile that he lost interest in & never ate so it took it out. i think the oscars, jds, gold sev & silver tip are too big for him to swallow. i think feeding him the silver sides satisfies his craving for live fish but we'll see as he gets full grown. i had him since Dec 2011 so he's not even a year old yet. i'll keep updating regularly & post if he decides to eat any of his tank mates.
