Not to be an ***, and I'm sorry for your loss, but you really didn't answer our questions or follow any advice that was given by everyone:screwy:.

Sometimes you have to just listen to people that have experience in raising fish. You just can't ask why and not listen to advice or suggestions. Remember, fish are living creatures and should be given a chance to live in the correct environment.:( The Doctor.

answer these questions:

1) did you buy a test kit?
2) what kind of salt did you add and how much? how did you add it?
3) did you remove the guppies?
4) was the tank cycled at all?
5) if you bought a test kit..what were the water parameters?
6) did you use declore when you added water?
7) when your aro refused to eat did you remove the uneaten food?

these questions need to be answered before anyone can help you..

sorry for your loss. however, they're really hard at that age and you were simply not prepared for it. please answer the above questions and we can help you out. don't get down, just learn what you need to do to take care of one and maybe start with a fish that's a little easier so you get some experience. just some friendly advice

I am sorry the baby arow passed:(

By reading that topic it seems to me that you didnt listen to us. Im going to say with out having a test kit your tank wasnt cycled and with out having the beneficial bacteria that your fish need to live consequently your arow died. The only time you should add salt to your tank IMO is to kill ich. Did you do any research before you got the fish? Before I buy any fish I do research to make sure that I have the proper resources to keep the fish healthy and happy. I only say this because I dont want you to go through this again. If you dont have a test kit pick one up. API makes a great kit. Drain the tank and start the cycle process all over again. If you have any other tanks you can use filter media or gravel from that tank to kick start the cycle process. If you dont pick up a product called cycle and do what the directions on the bottle say.

i would like to answer all your questions

i donot have a TESTKIT
i did 80% of water change before adding arowana so my tank's water was looking clean and clear

i first offerd first guppies but it refused
then i removed then and only 1 pair was left in tank
then i offerd freeze dried bloodworms it refused again and i removed then totally
i have reaserch many website and article before buying it

Sorry for ur loss...

I suggest next time get a bigger aro.. There are less chances of it dying.. Get one around 5-6"... How big is the tank ?
