silver arowana in a 30g

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
read it the other way and their tank is probably smaller than a 30! explains why they think a 30 is big

I am also selling my albino red oscar (about 4-5 inches long) in a separate listing if you are interested.

The boy like a big fish you should ask him if you could have the Pair for your 30g well it happens all the time not the first and will not be the last:screwy:

hey i think he meant the 30 gallon for temporary...he also stated this if u kept readin...

Please be aware that in captivity these fish have been known to grow to about 3 feet long.
If put into a 30 gallon tank, he won't last long in there because he will outgrow it in a matter of months. Please do not buy this fish unless you are prepared for his continual growing.
For his full grown size, a tank of 180 gallons or more will be necessary, so please keep this in mind while bidding.

A 30 gallon is definitely large enough. No aro would ever reach 30 gallons of body volume. If the fish fits, you must buy it. OJ told me that. My bass fits in my ten gallon.

The listing has been changed. Someone probably sent him a Flame-o-gram

Now that's efficient fish keeping. Though I think it would work better if the fish's head was in the tank.

So that is what they meant by a fish will grow to the size of the tank

I emailed the seller and explained to her that this was not the ideal tank size for the fish. This is the reply I got: thank you, I do appreciate your concern. for right now the arowana won't need a huge tank as he is still small. I've talked with sellers of arowana to make sure that the size tank he is in right now is appropriate (he's been living in a 20 gallon tank for about a year now and is doing very well), and I know people that have kept arowana themselves, and they have been kept in 55 gallon tanks even when they are about 18 inches long with no problems. Thank you for your concern though, I will make sure that any buyer is informed of what you said. I am not going to sell this fish to anyone who is not aware of how to take care of him properly, and I will definitely add how large they grow to my description.
