I recently got this silver Arowana. It looks very healthy but today started swimming around the bottom of the tank. It's day 4 and it hasn't eaten anything I put in the tank. I put talapia and floating pellets. It seems interested but doesn't eat it.

Water lvl are good. I don't see that being a reason for the fish being stressed

Since it's a new fish...likely still hasn't settled in. Give it more time. Should eventually eat. I assume ur water and the fish are healthy so it'll eat soon.

When I have the lights on it swims more towards the bottom. Lights off I notice it swims on top. Is that normal

Probably just stressed. I would keep some floating plants. It'll help to dim light and help ur arowana stay toward the top.

I'm sure it'll eventually go to the top without any floating plants.

I hope so. I don't want to lose another one. I had a smaller silver Arowana and my marble motoro killed it. Then I got a Jardini and it was thriving until it jumped out the tank found it dead the next day. Lessons learned now I got the whole top covered.

What lights do you use sounds like he's got a issue with the lights if he's not swimming at top when there on
