I bought a silver nearly a month ago at about 8" for $50. It was added to my 55 gallon grow-out tank to later be moved to a 200 gallon, then to a 1500 gallon pond as upgrades were needed. It is currently pushing 9" and eats everything.... Which is great! Lol. Pellets, raw shrimp, raw fish, feeders, even raw beef and deer meat. It's always fat and happy and gracefully swimming from one side to the other, occasionally putting on a show for me at the front when it's hungry. Its tankmates are a 4" Oscar, 3" bluegil sunfish, two 4" red belly pacus, two 4" bala sharks, 5" clown knife, 7" brown knife, 8" dragon goby, and two 5" plecos.

Yes I know, the balas shouldn't be there and te dragon belongs in brackish water. I'm well aware. And everything has a plan set for it and will be put in the correct place within another month, so no flaming on that please

Let me know what you think and if anyone knows how I can post pics on here straight from my iPhone then I'd be glad to put some up

I would send them to your email, then download them to your comp and upload them

I can't help you out on the pictures, but if I were you, I would move the aro to your 200g tank in the next month or so. WHat are the dimensions of the 200g?

7x2x2. The 200 is still on a trailer actually lol the stand is set though so it'll be moved in sometime this month and them given another month for set up and cycling. So two more months in the 55 at the most. So by that time it should be appox. 11-12" and it will difinately be moving time for the big guy

Good dimensions. It should do well for a while in there.

Yeah I'm really hoping for a good few years in this tank before it outgrows it. Most aros growth slow down after 14" so hopefully that'll buy plenty of time

Growth slows down at 24" (at this point they are one year old). I would move into the 200 sooner rather than later.
