Silver Arowana Questions

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Droop eye is common in Silver Aros....It is really impossible to correct. As for the food....Just make sure the raw fish is not processed - I know the salmon sometimes has a red dye added for color, that is not good for your fish. As for the tuna, just make sure you smell it before you buy it, they sometimes use a really light bleach solution to turn it white....In my opinion, I would not feed raw fish. There are too many chemicals used in processing them.

Does anybody out there know how to correct Drop Eye. :feedback: I am currently using a really bright ping pong ball at the top of the tank. His eyes havent changed that much.

Also Does anyone know if feeding your Arowana raw Salmon and Tuna Filets is OK? And healthy for that matter?? :uhoh:

try keeping your silver in a tub... have had a better success rate than the ball..

Raw shrimp is different than the raw fish....I feed my guys raw shrimp as a treat....

a tub?? like my bath tub?? what does that do?

a fibre tank wld do... it causes them to look upwards and cure the droop eye... but not a sure cure.

if they have had drop eye for a while
i don't think it's reversible?
at least without some sort of surgery
