Found this guy in a LFS last night beaten half to death by the 6 other aro's they had him with. I couldn't leave him there, so I brought him home. He is currently in my lightly stocked 20gal upstairs until he gets strong enough for the community tank. He is iffy right now. I am honestly not sure if he is going to survive the night. Besides his injuries, he looks healthy. He has nice color, no drop eye or gill problems so I think he will be ok if he can pull through this. I am going to be treating the tank with melafix while he's in there and doing daily 15% water changes. I am considering raising the tank temp a bit as well, but don't want to stress him anymore. He hasn't eaten yet, but I am trying small amounts of bloodworms and beefheart. Any other suggestions on how to help him out better?IMAG0247.jpg IMAG0248.jpg

im sorry to say from the way he looks hanging there in the pic you might want to put him out of his misery he looks like he will die .:(
i had to do this too once from reading i learned that a humane way is to put a container of water in the freezer wen it has developed a thins layer of ice on top break it and put fish in . sorry .. unless he looks much better in person but your pic looks real bad

I think you are right. I just took another close look at him and he is bleeding from his left gill

He just died. I guess I was a little too late. Thanks anyways. If a mod would please remove this thread.
