My Silver Arowana who used to eat all the time has not eaten in over 2 weeks...I have him seperated from my other fish and still won't eat. Tried market shrimp, pellets, frozen blood worms.....any other people have the same problem out there....he is starting to get so weak and I'm afraid he won't make it....anyone with suggestions?

how big is your silver arowana? try feeding him some floating sticks they always love that. maybe hes just stressing out give a couple of days

maybe still stressed but try crickets

water quality is perfect.....temperature is 83-85. yes i put floating sticks in and just left them ill check in the morning if they work....the problem started because i also have peacock bass in the same tank and the peacock bass would get the food before the arowana ever had a chance. i think i took to long to separate them and he is too weak to even try eating again...how long can they go without food....he is still swimming at times and other times he will just settle on the bottom

sign of stress :) how big is this aro?

he is around 8-10" do you think he will end up eating at all and am i doing the right thing with separating him?

yes isolate him from the pbass 1st but how big is the pbass? and im sure it will eat just be patient dont worry too much

if you do have a pond, try keep it inside a pond. because my fren did that to his 18" green aro... and it works.. no harm trying

just sharing my 2cents

i let mine eat feeder fish for a couple days, just put some in and left them and they were gone whenever he got hungry then later i trained him on pellets you could just try that not sure if its the best way but its one of the easier ways

unless hes too weak to hunt or anything for them..
