Silver Arowana

Just got home from the LFS and they had "Silver Arowanas", but they were orange (could have been red) and blue along with the silver color. It was pretty beat up, but I haven't seen an Arowana like that. Given I haven't seen many in person. I know this is the place to ask. Is that normal? I know they don't know their fish too well from past experience.

It was only $40.
 
There's only two SA species of arowana, silver and black. Blacks usually cost more than silvers. Judging from your description it sounds like a silver. How big is the fish?

I don't know Florida prices, up here you could get it for 25 but 40 isn't crazy. If you can care for it and you like it go for it. Just make sure it's eating.
 
I'm still contemplating it. I was more interested in the colors more than anything. I thought it might have been mis-labeled. The usual price I see them going for around here is $50 although I haven't went and looked for any deals. I might pick it up. I'll post some pics if I do.

tht sounds sweet an orange aro i think the coolest looking aro ive seen is somebody on MFK bred a 3 headed silver arowana lol.
 
Well, I went back to get it and it was gone. They said they should get more some time soon. I'll at least get a pic for you guys even if I don't buy it.
