I have an 18inch silver that eats 2 -3 3 inches gold fish a day. it eats every day every since it was small. last thursday it stopped eating but ate a 3 inch gold fish sunday night. today doesn't want to eat again. anything wrong.
I agree. Goldfish are not a healthy diet. Read Oddball's "sticky" post in the General Aquaria discussion forum. He pretty much sums up the whole issue there.
Besides the poor nutritional content/possibility of introducing pathogens, it is also much more convenient for you if you get him eating frozen or prepaired foods because don't have to run out and get feeders. Just my opinion though.

check if theres any other unusual behaviour in your aro or difference in color.
Sometimes they will stop eating once they have reached a certain stage of "fatness" or a previous meal turned out unpleasant tasting so its developed a disliking to the normal meal.
