careful...CM might think they are on a cuttin board and start to salivate....:S......sorry for ur loss bro!! 
unsure, started developing red sores on body, so I started treating with melafix and didn't last through the first night. really enjoyed these guys, the larger one was close to 6" , the other one was a little smaller at 5 1/2". friends that didn't know a thing about fish thought they were pirahnas and that they looked really cool. hate to see them go because i got them when they were tiny. oh well time to move on . thanks guys.
wow,sorry about the loss! I had two 7"ers i lost a while back (cause my giant gourami got fed up w/ thier goofiness ,i guess and beat the heck outa both of them beyond repair one day )One thing I notice w/ silver $'s and pacu also is the water has to be seriously good -other wise they act wierd and get sick fast(but recover fast too)- if your keeping them as tankmates w/ a 'monster' that produces monster watse -gotta really be ontop of water changes.Well better luck and again sorry about your loss -i know takes a long,long timeto get them that size
